Join Legacy Physical Therapy and La Forme for a 90-minute, immersive workshop designed to help you understand and experience pelvic floor health through mindful breath and movement.
Pilates Strength + Your Pelvic Floor
Through intentional breathing and controlled, low-impact movement, Pilates engages the deep core muscles that stabilize and support your pelvic floor in more ways than you might expect. This workshop is about building awareness first, then strength from the inside out.
The experience begins with an immersive session led by the Legacy Physical Therapy team. You’ll be guided through simple breath cues and gentle movements that help you feel how the pelvic floor works with your core, hips, and spine. You’ll gain clarity around common misconceptions, learn how strength training supports pelvic health, and walk away with tools you can use both in the studio and in everyday life.
From there, the La Forme team will lead a beginner-friendly Pilates reformer workout that brings those concepts into action. Expect slow, supportive movement that prioritizes tone, control, and coordination over intensity.
Movement you can expect includes:
Breath-led pelvic tilts and gentle spinal articulation
Bridges and controlled lifts to support pelvic floor engagement
Reformer footwork and leg presses emphasizing deep core connection
Side-lying work and clams to strengthen hips and glutes
Clear guidance on when to release and when to engage using the breath
These low-impact exercises support the pelvic floor while strengthening and mobilizing the hips, glutes, hamstrings, and spine, helping you build stability, confidence, and body awareness from the ground up.
This workshop is intentionally accessible and welcoming. Whether you’re new to movement or a seasoned mover, Pilates offers endless variations to meet you exactly where you are. No prior Pilates or pelvic floor experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to explore how your body works!
Come learn. Come move. Leave feeling supported at your foundation. Spaces are limited to 12 participants for this workshop.
